History

This is our story

1940

The foundation

Founder Theobald Schulte-Lindhorst started the business in 1940 with a vegetable, coal and bulk goods trade. Schulte-Lindhorst has been 100% family-owned since then.

1951

Expansion of the building materials trade

Expansion of the building materials trade to include all building materials for shell construction. At that time, Mr. Schulte-Lindhorst was using two tipper vehicles. By 1958 the fleet had been increased to 15 vehicles.

1959

First warehouse with ramp

In 1959, an important cornerstone for further development was laid with the construction of the first warehouse with its own loading ramp.

1962

Start of the forwarding

Acquisition of the first long-distance truck, which established the actual forwarding business. The vehicle fleet was constantly expanded to include crane trailers. As a result, more and more tipper vehicles were replaced and the range of services expanded. The complete building needs and special and heavy transport had established themselves.

1982

Expansion of storage areas

With the construction of another warehouse, the storage capacity could be increased by a further 3,000 m² of storage space.

1984

The second generation

Business operations are taken over by the sons of the company founder, Bernhard and Heinz Schulte-Lindhorst. At that time, the outdoor storage area, including the indoor storage areas, was already approx. 30,000 m².

2004

family business

Entry of the son of Heinz Schulte-Lindhorst. Thomas Schulte-Lindhorst successfully completed the German Foreign Trade and Transport Academy (DAV) in Bremen. As a trained forwarding agent and business economist at DAV, he takes on responsible tasks.

2008

Expansion of the logistics center in Rietberg-Varensell

With the construction of a warehouse with 2000 m² of storage space and a 25 t indoor crane, we are expanding our logistics offering for our customers in mechanical and plant engineering.

2011

The realignment

Thomas Schulte-Lindhorst joins the management board and manages the company together with Heinz Schulte-Lindhorst. Bernhard Schulte-Lindhorst retires from the company. At the end of the year the new structuring of the company will be completed. The building materials trade is sold. The course has been set for market-driven, future-oriented services for customers.

2014

Location Schloß Holte-Stukenbrock

The company now has a third location in Schloß Holte-Stukenbrock. The complex has 8,000 m² of indoor space and 10,000 m² of outdoor space. This has created additional capacities and you can act even more flexibly towards the customer.

2016

Extension of the storage area

In May, another storage and production hall (formerly the Balsfulland company) with over 2,000 square meters was taken over and put into operation after renovation. The hall is located at the Schloß Holte-Stukenbrock site.

2017

Modern crane hall for large machines

Completion of a crane hall in April with over 2,000 m², a hall height of 15 m and a crane system for large machines up to 55 t.

2017

Construction of a large workshop for truck service

With the construction of our large commercial vehicle workshop, we can perform our services in the field of commercial vehicle repairs and service even better for our customers and our own fleet.

2019

Expansion of the Schloß Holte-Stukenbrock site

After another expansion of our location in Schloß Holte-Stukenbrock, we can now offer our customers a total of 17,250 m².

2022

Erweiterung der Lagerfläche um 11.500 m²

We are expanding our storage areas with our logistics center in Wadersloh by 11,500 m². This enables us to offer our customers even better services in warehouse logistics.

2023

Takeover of the company Johannpeter

We took over the operational business of the Johannpeter freight forwarder with retroactive effect from January 1, 2023. The company retains its independence and from now on operates under the umbrella of the Schulte-Lindhorst Group.

We are looking for support for our Schulte-Lindhorst team.
